Resume CV Usually a one or two page summary Goal of writing is to be brief A summary of skills, experience, and education Usually is two or more pages Writing is a detailed synopsis Includes educational and academic backgrounds in addition to teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, and affiliations. Sections to Include in Your CV Contact information Undergraduate education Graduate education Scholarships Training Study abroad Dissertations Theses Bibliography Research experience Graduate fieldwork Employment history Teaching experience Publications Presentations and lectures Exhibitions Awards and honors Grants, fellowships, and assistantships Technical, computer, and language skills Professional licenses and certifications Memberships

Possible Sections to Include Education List in progress to most recently earned degrees. It is appropriate to include GPA earned or relevant coursework Certifications List all relevant certifications and the year they were received

Relevant Experience Listing of positions related to work sought. This section could include part or full-time, temporary, volunteer, or permanent work. Should include a brief description of work Grants Received Include the name of grant, date received, and title or purpose of project

Professional Associations This section should include memberships at national, regional, state, and local organization. Also, include appointments to positions or committees to these associations. Institutional Service List institutional committees, offices held, student groups supervised, academic projects you have assisted
