He/CO2 mixtures: with more CO2 More electrons/cm produced Less diffusion But slower drift velocity Sufficiently enough gain with little CO2? (number of produced electrons per photon is independent of gas mixture!) In ALICE TPC: Neon based gas look at that… Investigate ion mobility (to keep space charge effects low)
