1 United Way of Tompkins County 2013-2014 Cornell Community Giving Campaign 90 Years of service to families, communities and organizations in Tompkins and surrounding counties. A gift to the United Way is an investment in the common good.

2 What Does United Way Do? United Way of Tompkins County makes strategic investments in our community with the goal of improving people’s lives, both by helping individuals and by creating community-level change. Their strategies include supporting collaborations, promoting volunteerism, engaging youth, advocating for public policy changes and strategically funding direct programs and services to help people.

3 Where Does United Way Focus? Improving quality of life is about the education, income, and health of everyone in our community. They work collaboratively to ensure that children succeed in school, individuals lead healthy lives, and everyone has the opportunity to achieve financial well-being. Youth are more likely to graduate from high school if they have supports for success. Communities are strengthened when people’s basic needs are met. Access to needed health care and treatment services help children, adults, and families thrive.

4 Cornell United Way 2013 is for the United Way of Tompkins County (UWTC) CUW is an internal campaign for the UWTC annual fund drive. UWTC funds more than 150 health and human service programs.
