2 2 Objectives Review of TIU Template File How it works Review of Commonly asked questions on Functionality in v14 To re-enforce a good foundation of functionality of v14 to help with implementation of v15 when released.

3 3 Who Can Edit ‘Shared Templates’ Not controlled by Business Rules It is controlled by the.07 field (Editor Class) of File 8927 (TIU TEMPLATE) Can be changed, this is NOT a multiple Only applicable for the IEN #1 Shared Templates

6 6 File Structure of TIU TEMPLATE (8927) This was the basic configuration of the TUI TEMPLATE file, when GUI v12 converted Boilerplated Text to TEMPLATES

7 7 File Structure of TIU TEMPLATE (8927) The Editor Class field, allows the holder of that class to work the inactive Templates These two have been activated

8 8 File Structure of TIU TEMPLATE (8927) As templates are activated, they become items of the Shared Template that point down to the original file entries.

9 9 File Structure of TIU TEMPLATE (8927) Items that are under Shared Templates are Pointers to the Actual entries in the File.

10 10 Edit Options My TemplatesShared Templates

11 11 Edit Templates My Templates Nothing is defined for you Edit Shared Template is not checked.

12 12 Create New Template New Template button clicked for you Template type is already defined for you. Template is active Template place holder is added to ‘My Templates’

13 13 Edit Shared Templates Comes in with Shared Template Highlighted Boxes checked for ‘Hide Inactive’ ‘Edit Shared Template’ box is checked

14 14 Create New Shared Template New Template button clicked for you Template type defined and Active Check boxes checked for you Template place holder is added under ‘Shared Templates

15 15 On the Fly creation of a Template in ‘My Templates’ Users can highlight any text in any note that they can view and do a right click User can select the option ‘Copy into New Template’

16 16 On the Fly creation of a Template in ‘My Templates’ Using this option, the user is immediately taken into Template Editor for ‘My Templates’

17 17 Summary of Edit Options When working with the Pull-down options – all four will allow the user editing, to do all functions. They are simply saving one or two clicks of the mouse. End users have access to My Templates on the fly.

18 18 Relationships between Shared Templates & My Templates

19 19 Shared Templates My Templates The Template ‘History & Physical’ was copied over to ‘My Templates’ The copied Template is now an item under My Templates, which is a pointer back to Shared Templates

20 20 Relationships between Shared Templates & My Templates As a user copies a Shared Template, they are adding a Pointer to their ‘My Template’ folder.

21 21 Relationships between Shared Templates & My Templates Changes that are made to a template under Shared Templates, will be seen under ‘My Templates’, remember the pointer relation.

24 24 Shared Templates My Templates Once the user edits this Shared Template within ‘My Templates’ the Pointer Relationship is broken. Added text, changes the icon

25 25 My Templates The icon for the Title has changed ---- Flipped corner

26 26 My Templates Changes made are not updated

27 27 Shared Templates My Templates The same process will be seen with Folders, Dialogs and Group Template The Joy Dialog was copied over to ‘My Template’

29 29 Shared Templates My Templates Changes on Shared Templates will be reflected immediately on ‘My Templates’ The Icon on Joy Dialog is a Dialog Icon

30 30 Shared Templates My Templates This Dialog Template was changed to a Group Template The Icon has changed to the Group Template Icon on ‘My Templates’

32 32 Shared Templates My Templates Once a change is made to the Entry on the ‘My Template’ side. A new copy of Shared Joy Dialog is created under ‘My Templates’ and is now owned by that user. The Joy Dialog is NO LONGER shared.

33 33 Shared Templates My Templates The change made under ‘My Template’ causes the Icon for Joy Dialog to change.

34 34 Shared Templates My Templates Joy Dialog was changed on the ‘My Template’ side. When a new Template is added to the Shared Template. The ‘My Template’ Joy Dialog is no longer pointing to the shared Template. The New Template is not seen on the ‘My Template’ side.

35 35 Shared Templates My Templates HOWEVER other templates under My Templates that still point to Shared Templates will reflect changes made. The (Joy 1 Temp) was changed to (Joy1 Final)

36 36 Finding Templates Options are available for both the CAC and the End User Options are available on the Template Editor and the Template drawer The search is done on the ‘Shared Templates’ folder and the users ‘My Templates’ folder of the File 8927 TIU TEMPLATE Can be CPU intensive

37 37 Finding Templates (cont) In the Template Editor, using the Action pull down menu. Can turn ON one or both of the FIND options.

38 38 Finding Templates (cont) The Find Personal Template in the pull menu has a check mark. The dialog for Personal Templates is open.

39 39 Finding Templates (cont) A RIGHT click on either the Shared Template or My Templates Select Find Template Searches both Shared Template and My Templates.

40 40 Finding Template (cont) Searching can be done to Match Case & Whole Words Only

41 41 Finding Templates (cont) Enter Search Criteria Click Find Next The search continues onto ‘Shared Templates’ Finds the 1st entry, then the 2 nd and 3 rd in ‘My Templates’
