2
The purpose of this work The experimental study of the formation regularities of and propagation of the spin flame front in propane-air mixture in the narrow slot.
3
The experimental setup
4
Development of disturbances on the surface of the cylindrical flame front
5
Rupture of the flame front in the initial period after the ignition mixture
6
Formation of two separate spin nuclei
7
D - diffusion coefficient of lacking component a - thermal conductance coefficient of the propane-air mixture u f - visible front propagation velocity l - distance between plates of slot Existence range of gas spin flame front in the coordinates of Lewis and Peclet numbers:
8
Behavior of laminar flame in a narrow boundless slot I – region of laminar flame instability to small-scale perturbations II – region of the spin centers (spin nuclei) formation. III – region of formation of «tails» from the spin nuclei. IV – region of oscillatory instability and turbulence in flame.
9
The resulting patterns of fluid flow and heat and mass transfer in the spin flame front can identify a range of problems to solve urgent problems of increasing the efficiency of internal combustion engines.
