1. Business Computer Applications Ms. S. Santos

2. Cycle 1-4 Students are going to learn the proper way of typing. –This will be done through a series of 12 lessons. –The lessons will be re-enforced by the program, KEYPRO. Students are going to learn the correct usage of a computer.

3. Cycle 5 & 6 Students will begin to type business letters. –There are different styles: Block Letters, Modified Letters, and Two Page Letters. Some letters will have a table in it. Some letters will have enumerations.

4. Cycle 6 thru Cycle 8 Students will begin to type research paper, using the MLA version. They will be using the Writers Inc. Book as a guide. Work includes: –Title Page, Outlines, Research and Works Cited.

5. Cycle 9 & 10 Instructions will be given on how to use the Excel Program. Students will cover how to: –Construct Family Budgets –Calculate Grades –Construct A Work Inventory

6. Cycle 11 Students will be given their Mid-Term Exam during this cycle.

7. Cycle 12 During the first three days of cycle 12, the students will have the opportunity to work on CAREER CRUISING. –We will work together with the Guidance Department, to ensure the Juniors get information on how to start looking for colleges.

8. Cycle 12 During the rest of cycle 12, we will be working on the students résumé.

9. Cycle 13 We will continue to work on the Excel Program. –Students will be told to start think of a topic to present as a POWER POINT PRESENTATION. Topics are due by this cycle. Also students will have to bring in a picture of themselves so that they can use the scanner.

10. Cycle 14 & 15 Students are to continue to research their power point information. Students are to then move on towards the power point slides. Remember that students are to print out their rubric and hand that into Ms. Santos on the day of the presentation.

11. Cycle 16 & 17 Presentation start this cycle. I will accept any volunteers first. Students must be prepared to be called on and do their presentation. Presentations will continue after the Easter Vacation.

12. Cycle 18 & 19 Students will work on two page letters and memorandums Letters and memos will include tables, and enumerations.

13. Cycle 20 & 21 Students are going to start to work on the Publishing Programs. Students are going to be creating Greeting Cards and also their own news paper! Articles will include, current events, music, fashion, TV shows, fashion, advertising and food.

14. Cycle 22 All projects should be done by the end of the cycle. Final exams will be given during this cycle.
