3. Abstract The year 2013 marks the 180th anniversary of the enduring relationship between Thailand and America. Thus, The Center of American Studies would like to organize an event to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Short film is a good tool to use in order to relay the knowledge and the importance of the relationship of the two nations to the people. Therefore, we have organized this Short Film Competition: "180 Years Relations Thailand - America"

Purpose 1.To celebrate the 180th anniversary of the formal relationship between Thailand and America. 2.To enhance the diplomatic relationship and friendship between Thailand and America. 3.To advertise the amicable relationship between the two countries for the people to realize. 4.To support the creativity and insightful thinking of the students, the new generation and also the general public to fully express their ideas in the creation of short films.

Schedule March 15 : press conference March 15 - 29 : open for applications April 1. : announce the team eligible for the competition April 3 - 5 : workshop week 1.history of Thailand and America 180 years enduring relations 2.Copyrights 3. How to produce short films April 30 : Short film due May 3 : Championship day – Grand Event

6. Participants Students and the general public, Teams of 3 - 5 people. Total of 10 teams, around 50 participants.

7. Prizes First Place: 30,000 baht, certificates, etc. First Runner - Up: 15,000 baht, certificates, etc. Second Runner - Up:10,000 baht, certificates, etc.
