The oval with a line through the middle is a stylized symbol combining the initial letters in the words “environment” and “organism”. We are one of the happy owners of a Green Flag!

Think again. A box made of carton can be transformed into a beautiful lamp, ordinary light bulbs or glass can become really nice decorative objects, you just need some imagination.

16 “Green Day” class 2D. They worked with natural materials and painted pottery, created posters on environmental themes and they also had a dress parade of costumes made of recyclable materials.

26 Make a healthy environment for a healthy life It is very important for children to learn to take care of the environment because their health directly depends on it. It is very easy to find dirt and pollution in many places across the world and a large population of the world is living in such bad and unhygienic conditions. People are drinking unclean drinking water and they are breathing polluted air; so, the pollution of the environment is causing many people to suffer from various health problems. Whereas if we live in a clean environment then we can live a healthy life and we can achieve this by understanding the importance of clean environment.

LEARNING OUTCOMES Children learnt group and pair work. Children’s communicating skills were improved. Children learnt the importance of preserving the environment. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT School LANGUAGE & LITERACY Children can communicate their knowledge in what regards the preservation of the environment and the importance of recycling, reducing, reusing in a variety of contexts using a great variety of means of communication: oral, facial expressions, body language. Children learnt vocabulary related to pollution, recycling, reducing, reusing. THE ARTS Children used their imagination and expressed their ideas, thoughts and feelings in works of art. THE WORLD AROUND US Children shared knowledge with their peers. They talked about pollution and the environment. Children highlighted both the similarities and the differences in what regards the enviroonment all over the world. MATHEMATICS & NUMERACY  Value: Respect the Environment  Topic: Recycling, Reducing, Reusing  Month: April - May OBJECTIVES - to teach children about the importance of preserving the environment - to make them aware of the impact pollution has in our life.
