The Foundation of our Line It is a simple progression we do every day with our offense during team period It develops proper stance technique, LEG technique, develops proper leverage technique, develops proper attitude and it develops the base of how we teach line concepts. It focus on the how and why of blocking in the system. In full speed – it creates competition and a violent attitude during our warm up period

The Frame Work Blocking Fits during Dynamic Warm ups: It happens every day. It reinforces proper stance and proper blocking techniques in all of our players every day. Static defender, ½ speed defender, full speed defender Violent action and competitive nature Strike first, strike fast, strike hard Pre-Season Chute Drills Metal Chutes, Plastic Chutes, or a simple PVC rectangle held by coaches or players will work. Stance, Get off, leverage, violence, competition Dummies, defender at ½ speed, defender at full speed Everyday during pre-season to instill this into our team

Upper Body LEG w/ flippers: – Drive: just below chest plate – Down: Penetrator: head to far arm pit, flipper to chest, palm in near arm pit (punch violently). Reader (teach as go): head behind near arm pit, flippers under arm pit. LEG w/ palms: – Drive: punch palms just below arm pits (soft spot), squeeze and lock. – Down: same as above

Blocking Fits Coach 1)STANCE/LOAD/LOAD EXPLODE by the numbers 2)STANCE/LEG ½ speed/LEG full speed 3)Can be a single coach or staff can break into sections of 3 to 6 pairs correcting one mistake quickly prior to next rep.

Blocking Fits Coach 1)Full speed + violent contact + aggressive drive 2)Match up size and ability along the line for pairs. Odd man can alternate in with one pair. 3)Can be a single coach or staff can break into sections of 3 to 6 pairs correcting one mistake quickly prior to next rep.

Blocking Chutes Coach 1)Entire Team: work fast, correct mistakes on the fly, maximum reps 2)Strike first, strike fast, strike hard 3)DEFENDER HOLDING DUMMY/DRIVE FOR FIVE 4)DEFENDER TAKING A QUICK VIOLENT STEP 5)DEFENDER ATTACKS BLOCKER – FULL SPEED 6)Use snap count to train players (DOWN –SET-GO (add HIT)) 7)Line up players so when they finish blocking they become defenders and rotate until time is up. 10 Indy O Line Period Offensive production is won and loss in the trenches. Three step progression for the line. – Wall side (bird dog, walk it, run it, run it live) – Pull side (bird dog, walk it, run it, run it live) – Together (walk it, run it, run it live)

Wall Side Coach AIR Coach ODD BEAR or EAGLE EVEN COMPRESSED

Wall Drill On Air: focus on Stance, Alignment, Technique – LEG, Loading, Unloading, Landmarks – Forming a Wall – Making contact with first defender to cross your face. Sled(optional): OLINE offset, LEG into sled, see wall form. Static defenders Full Speed defenders

Pull Side SEALKICKWIDE

Offensive Team Period Pullers (BB, QB, BSG, BST) learn to open the exterior wall. Three steps to success. – Walk it (explain roles/rules) (defenders are static) – ½ Speed (defenders walking) – Full Speed (defenders are full speed: make it competitive – competition brings the best out in your players) Fix mistakes on the fly. Oline coach and RB coach must fix things on the fly. No long winded teaching or corrections. One kid, one fix, run it again. Repeat as needed.

WB Seal Half Line (Pullers) SEAL PSWB: FBI Ignore if: FILL IN FLOW OUT Wall off if: SIT/READ BB: KO FDO QB: KO FDABB BSG: KO FDAQB BST: VERT UP WALL

WB Kick Half Line (Pullers) KICK

Explosive Strength Conditioning Exploding Dummy Progression Coach 1)Timed – competitive 2)Dummy flip (LEG rapidly, attack through the dummy and drive it out) 3)Dummy vertical push (power steps, butt down, stomp feet) 4)Dummy log roll (butt down, quick power steps, fast punches) 5)Dummy bear hug throw (wrap, LEG, footwork, 45 degree throw) 20 yards 50 yards Teaches our LEG technique through muscle memory development using different variations in attacking the dummies. Develops contact confidence, aggression, and violent attitude. Line winners compete against each other for a gift card.

Explosive Strength Conditioning Kettle Bells/Medicine Ball Coach 1)Timed – competitive – each set max in 60 seconds 2)KB/DB – DA/SA Swing (Load step, reset, repeat) 3)KB/DB – SA Snatch (Load step, reset, repeat) 4)MB – Swing pass (45 degrees) (Load/Explode step, catch, repeat) (pairs) 5)MB – Chest pass (Load/Explode step, catch, repeat) (pairs) 10 to 20 yards MB Teaches our LEG technique through muscle memory development using different variations in attacking a kettle ball (dumb bell). Develops contact confidence, aggression, and violent attitude. Best Reps/time for gift card
