The Libraries Network The network consists of 4 library sectors Each sector has organised its own activities –Council + working committee structure –Each sector has a chair person and a secretary 3 library consortia in the country –Linnea – library system –FinELib – national licensing and national portal –AMKIT – polytechnic libraries consortia

Conclusions The libraries network in Finland is well organised Coordination of library issues at the Ministry of Education has been developed –New coordinating working group Information technology provides new possibilities to support research, learning and human development Cooperation is the key success factor
