2. You will need: PENCIL CALCULATOR You have to: – Take Notes –Returned Homework –Prepare yourself for the Quizzes & Tests Daily homework from your text book Feedback on the board 2 worksheets every week you have to submit them next week due the agreement date

3. Assignments Do your homework the night it is assigned! Don’t wait until the day before it is due. When it is returned you can make corrections to the work and receive FULL CREDIT!

4. To Correct Assignments Corrections must be turned in by the test date for that chapter. Make corrections on a NEW sheet of paper with NAME, DATE, ASSIGNMENT (page #) at the TOP. SHOW ALL YOUR WORK Staple corrections to the TOP of the original assignment.

5. Textbooks You have to bring your textbook to use during class time. You should be able to complete MOST of your assignments in class, but may need to occasionally to complete it as a homework Notes and assignments are also available ONLINE!

6. Absences & Make – up Work It is YOUR responsibility to get the notes and assignments you miss. After 3 absences you will take a break ditention Work should be made up before the chapter test.

7. Quizzes & Tests Tests at the end of each chapter Study by redoing homework problems. Make a sheet with formulas, vocabulary words, and example problems. Sleep early

8. I Expect You To: Bring your book, copybook, pencil, and calculator. Be in your seat on time Have assignment out ready to grade Have your class work and your textbook ready for taking notes and solving problem Work on assignments during allowed time

9. Tips for Success You should expect privacy, so don’t make your business public You should expect a quiet working environment, so don’t talk during work time You should expect to learn, so don’t distract others from learning You should expect to be respected, so respect others including their privacy, their work space, and their opportunity to learn.

11. Oops, I didn’t get it done…. Too bad, so sad…..You have plenty of time in class and you can take any notes you need to complete your class work As long as the class is working quietly and efficiently, I will provide you with as much time as you need. Extra incentive….If you finish the assignment in class before you leave, you can bring it to me for extra credit!

12. I’m Not Good at MATH! I understand that! Not being good at something doesn’t mean that you Can’t Learn it, or that you Shouldn’t Try! If you screw up an assignment, I’ll let you redo it for FULL CREDIT! Break time or from 2:30 to 3:00 pm are great to redo work you didn’t understand the first time. I WILL HELP YOU! I AM GOOD AT MATH!

13. One more thought…. I have NEVER had someone in ANY of my classes fail that has turned in all of their work. Zeros in the grade book really drop your quarter grade QUICK! Get the work done on time and you should pass with NO PROBLEMS!
