Certified Personnel Information System See printout for system – current year 2007-2007 (FY2008) Must identify each person’s Job Assignments (up to 6 = 100%)

All CTAE Teachers, Supervisors or others receiving grant funds for any part of salary must appear on the CPI with the appropriate Job Code and Subject Code assignment for the % of time paid from the grant – See Grant Status printout

Grants for salaries (Ext Day, Ext Year, YAP, Supervisor, Young Farmer etc.) compared to the CPI data for FY2008 is currently being audited – Systems not reporting positions funded may be asked to return funds?? - or grant will not be approved for FY2009

“Internal Audit” is also targeting system CPI and grant data for individuals paid from multiple grants for salaries (positions) that exceed 100% (double dipping!) System can update CPI data for FY2008 in May!

Vocational Lab – Program Code = “K” Vocational lab weight (Program Code = “K”) may be assigned to the state-approved vocational courses that meet the following general criteria. Note: JROTC and Military Science are included among courses eligible for vocational weight. a.Replacement costs of equipment and materials are at least 50 percent higher than those needed for a regular general education class except for cooperative work-study labs. b.Students spend a minimum of 25 percent of the instructional time in “hands-on” activities. c.All equipment, software, materials, etc. used in the lab are in place and operational on the day of the FTE count. d.Students are enrolled in grades 9-12.

Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Curriculum CTAE Curriculum is written as a one unit course Unit – one unit of credit awarded for a minimum of 150 clock hours of instruction or 135 hours of instruction in an approved block schedule

Certification Requirements 1.Existing preparation fields plus completion of Course 1 & 2 (for PLU credit only) of the new WBL Preparation Program: (DCT Endorsement, Marketing, Business & Computer Science, FCS, Ag) 2.New Endorsements: Complete Course 1 & 2 and (assuming PSC approval) complete course 3 during the 2008-2009 school year 3.YAP Coordinators who have completed Course 1 & 2 (for PLU credit only) of the new WBL Preparation Program or the GaDOE sponsored “New YAP Coordinators Training and enrolling only YAP students
