3. HARLAN DRESS CODE/UNIFORMS Harlan does have a dress code. Students are expected to wear a solid color collared shirt and black, navy blue or khaki bottoms. Solid colored sweaters/hoodies are permitted. –Uniforms unite us as a community and reduce distractions –Uniforms make us all equal –Uniforms look professional If a student arrives to school out of uniform, he/she will be changed into the school uniform or parents will be called to bring in a proper uniform.

4. Arrival/Dismissal Doors open at 8:35 and students are expected to attend school every day. A missed day means a missed day of critical instruction. It is important students are not outside earlier than 8:00AM for safety concerns. Breakfast is served to students as they enter the upstairs hallway and is stopped being served at 8:45. Students enter alone: –Parents who would like to visit their child’s class should proactively contact the homeroom teacher to schedule a classroom visit. –All parents must sign in at main office upon entering the building. Student is late at 8:50AM. Dismissal is at 3:20 on the front steps. All parents must pick up their child by 3:45 every day.
