Actions requiring further action of the General PTA: –Motion required to approve the LTE PTA 2014 Nominating Committee: Alison Blake Adrienne Booth Stephanie Pollard Haily May – Alternate and Teacher Representative - Motion required to replace Michelle Edwards as Health and Welfare Chair with Bonnie Casey-Moore.

6. REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD - Melissa Nelson, President Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014-15 Lake Travis Elementary PTA Board. 8. 12 February 2013 LTE General PTA Meeting REPORT OF CARNIVAL AND SILENT AUCTION - Mondie McFaddin Carnival – SATURDAY, APRIL 12 TH –VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! –Sponsors Needed!!! –Sponsorship packets are available –Silent Auction packets are available DID YOU KNOW THAT… 1.The Carnival & Silent Auction raised over $22,000 (profit) last year! 2.100% of the profit goes directly back to LTE. 3.We try to cover our costs with sponsorship money so that all money made the day of the carnival is pure profit!! 4.If your company sponsors at the $250 level and up we will put your company logo on a reusable grocery bag that will be handed out at the carnival. AND you may put marketing materials in the bag (business card, coupon, pen, etc).

9. Why is the Carnival SO Important? W here does all this money go?  Directly back to LTE. Last year the PTA raised an additional $22,000 educational materials for our students.  Why is the LTE PTA Budget so high?  The PTA supports wonderful programs for LTE. Here’s just a few: Program Expenses = $17,200 which includes field trips, math/science/social studies/language arts nights and Pioneer Day also Service Expenses = $9,750.00 which include grade level awards, hospitality for teacher and staff appreciation, Back to School Night, Veterans Day and Yearbook Stipends 25 February 2014 LTE General PTA Meeting
