10. 1.1 YOUTH EXCHANGES groups of youngsters from different countries meet and get to know each other and their cultures they choose a theme of common interest they share opinions around it, do intercultural activities, games and discussion groups each group has got a youth leader

11. 1.2 YOUTH INITIATIVES a group of youngsters chooses and develop a theme relevant to themselves and their community local, regional and national level or networking of similar projects with other groups from different countries a coach can be involved

YIA PROJECTS CAN GIVE YOUNG PEOPLE IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITIES TO ACQUIRE SKILLS AND COMPETENCES, COMPLEMENTARY TO THE FORMAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING SYSTEM. Non-formal learning “there is no learning without emotions”

21. Visibility ACTIVITIES SHOULD PROVIDE A CLEAR ADDED PROMOTIONAL VALUE FOR THE YIA PROGRAMME. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO ENSURE THE PARTICIPANTS’ AWARENESS, BUT ALSO TO SHOW TO THE WIDER PUBLIC THAT THE EU IS CREATING LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE.

22. Valorisation and dissemination of results ACTIVITIES SHOULD PRODUCE LONG-LASTING EFFECTS AND BE BETTER KNOWN AND ACTIVELY USED, SO TO MAKE AS MORE PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE BENEFIT FROM IT. THIS CAN HAPPEN THROUGH THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE RESULTS, WHICH CAN OPTIMIZE THEIR VALUE AND STRENGTHEN THEIR IMPACT.
