By Zeek Jesse and Jake.K 5/6 went on a over night excursion to Sydney they left school around 8:30am the bus then drove down to Sydney with the 5/6 students 5/6 excursion to Sydney 5/6 went on an overnight excursion to Sydney. - The Rocks has accommodation where you stay in a luxury hotel at Sydney‘s premier holiday location.

- The Hyde Park Barracks is a three storey brick building with a sandstone pediment.

- MMr Greg Piper is our local member and Mayor of Lake Macquarie.

- 5/6 walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Unfortunately it rained, and hailed and by the time they got across they were soaked.

- 5/6 also went to Taronga Zoo for a Twilight Safari some people liked it but some didn't like the snakes and lizards and some thought it was cold. Most of them would rather go at day time.

- Darling Harbour is a good area with a waterfront to the west of the city.

- Sydney Y Hotel has a wonderful view. The Y hotel has great beds and breakfast Sydney Y hotel is surrounded by great shops, gyms, restaurants, Olympic pools and galleries. You can also walk to Darling Harbour, China Town, the Opera House and the Rocks from there.

- The Imax Theatre has educational movies for school excursions. At the Imax movies can be watched in 3D. The Imax Theatre at Sydney has the biggest screen in Australia.

- Parliament House is open from 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. It is open to visitors on days there are no sittings on.

- Manly Beach is a wonderful beach. It has nice blue water.

- Manly Corso Shopping Centre is a great place to shop. You can buy lunch, clothes and stuff you can find there. There are lots of shops. It is great at Manly Corso shopping centre.

- Sydney Art Gallery is a great place it has realistic paintings that look great the art gallery has lots of interesting pictures to look at.
