Study time Year 12s should be allowing approximately 3.5 hours of study per subject per week Year 11s should be allowing approximately 2.5 hours of study per subject per week Year 10s should be allowing approximately 1.5 hours of study per subject per week This does not include research time for SACs.

Activities List the types of activities you do 1. Reading 2. Memorizing 3. Note taking 4. Skimming 5. Watching TV 6. Staring at the wall 7. Etc.

Activities This will help to show you: The amount of time you spend studying Your concentration span Times when you are alert Later this assists you to allocate your study time

How to Study Plan your revision well in advance Preview the material to be examined. Set up your notes in order. Open the text at the relevant pages Record and make lists of vocabulary, names, events, etc Summarize notes

How to Study Do the Practice exams under exam conditions Repeat the Practice exam later. Points you find difficult to learn should be tested a number of times

In the Exam Read the instructions carefully Read the questions carefully Plan your time – don’t get stuck on one question, go onto another You must attempt to answer all questions Questions worth more marks need more time and detail Allow Review time and make corrections
