Our Choice Set of 5 pretend cell phones We chose the cell phones because we’ve observed that kids love cell phones. They like to play adults with them, make pretend calls and carry them around to feel important. Adults will like this toy because they don’t want their kids breaking their real phones. Other ideas we had: Snow globe whirlpool Dolls and robots with interchangeable parts Small board game These items were good ideas, but contained too many parts or were too complicated for a simple McDonald’s toy.

Collect All 5! We chose to do a set of five phones each a different color and with a different ability. This way, costs are kept low, compared to one phone that does everything. Also it promotes sales because kids want a different toy each time they visit McDonald’s.

Materials All the phones will be made of plastic with no small parts that can be broken off for safety. All the numbers and screens are stickers. The light-up phone will have a small light in the antennae. The ringing phone will have a recording of a phone ring that will go off when a button is pressed. The girly phone is pink with glitter and a shiny sticker in place of the screen to act as a pretend compact. The water gun shoots water stored in the hollow phone through the antennae. The talking phone has a recording of Ronald McDonald saying hello when a button is pressed.
