Meter Accuracy DC Volts ±(0.1% of the reading + 1 digit) DC Amps
Resistance ±(0.2% of the reading + 1 digit)
2
What does this +1 digit mean ?
Display Range 200mV 00.0 2V 0.000 20V 0.00 200V Lets say, in a circuit, we are reading a volts using the 2V range setting The accuracy is ±(0.1% of the reading + 1 digit) But the meter can only display 3 digits beyond the decimal point (2V range) So the accuracy is ± V Therefore actual reading accuracy is ± V 0.813 V 0.811 V For this measurement the value is [0.812 ± 0.001] V

How to set-up Power Supply
Flick this Switch to measure voltage Flick this Switch to measure current Single Supply (source) This LED lights-up This LED lights-up Make sure this switch is off Rotate the voltage knob clockwise and set the desired voltage Turn on the switch Connect wires to terminals and short the free end Rotate the current knob clockwise and set the desired max current Rotate the voltage knob slightly clock wise Rotate these two knobs Anticlockwise one turn Remove this short

both the supplies to have
How to set-up Power Supply Dual Supply Set current limit for both sides as described before. Set this switch for tracking when you want both the supplies to have equal magnitide + Gnd -

A Sample Experiment Design I What is the Value of I 470 Ohm 0.5V Theoretical Value 0.5V = mA 470 Ohm
6
First Level Experiment/Calculation
Measure the resistance using an Ohm-Meter 2K Ohm Range, therefore the value is ± KOhms Max value = 471 Ohms, Min value = 469 Ohms
7
First Level Experiment/Calculation…… continued
Measure the voltage of the supply 2V Range, therefore the value is ± V Max value = V, Min value = V
8
Measure Current 2mA Range, therefore the value is ± mA Max value = 0.88 mA, Min value = mA Our theoretical value is = mA Something weird going on here !
9
Internal Resistance of the Meter (Shunt)
2mA 100 Ohm 20mA 10 Ohm 200mA 1 Ohm Real Circuit 0.500 ± V 0.470 ± K Ohms 100 Ohm (meter shunt)

Reconcile measurement results with expected values
Voltage Measurement: Max value = V, Min value = V Resistance Measurement: (Max value = 471 Ohms, Min value = 469 Ohms) Plus 100 Ohms Calculated Current: We have excellent reconciliation when the calculated And measured values match well within the meter’s accuracy Measured Current 0.501 V 569 Ohms Max value = = mA Max value = mA 0.499 V 571 Ohms Min value = = mA Min value = mA
