Peppered moths use camouflage to hide from predators such as birds. The colour of the grey moths blends in nicely with the colour of tree bark

During the 19th and 20th century factories produced a lot of pollution. The soot from the factories slowly turned the colour of the bark black What do you think happened to the gray peppered moths?

Black Peppered Moths There were Black coloured moths in England as well, but they were very rare and didn’t breed on trees. After the industrial revolution coloured tree bark dark, they suddenly appeared everywhere. Why do you think that happened?
