Go to slide #2 – double click and type what you want to go on the front of the book. (Examples: Vocabulary Words, Questions, etc.) Go to slide #3 – double click and type what you want inside the book. Put the title of the foldable on the sideways writing or write your name. (Examples: Definitions, Answers, etc.) Print out the slides and glue the papers back to back. Put the side with the sideways words facing you, and fold on line (hot dog style). Cut along the dotted lines on the front part only. Open the flaps to find answers, definitions, pictures, etc. From Krystle Fedele at Tucker

Area of an ocean, sea, or lake that extends into the land. Usually smaller than a gulf. A large mass of slowly moving ice. Dry and often hot areas that receive very little precipitation. Small islands of sediment that divide a river into smaller parts at its mouth. A deep, narrow valley with steep sides and often with a river or stream on it’s floor.

Large part of an ocean that extends into the land. Usually larger than a bay. A land mass that rises higher than its surrounding area. Higher than a hill. Narrow neck of land connecting two large areas of land. Land surrounded by water. Land that rises to a summit of no more than 1,000 feet.

A portion of land nearly surrounded by water. Narrow body of water connecting two larger bodies of water. Dry area of flat or rolling grassland with few trees. Located in tropical or subtropical areas. Flat or rolling grassland with few trees but covered with grasses. Land raised higher than surrounding land with a flat surface.

Wetland partially or occasionally covered in water. Area located between ranges of hills or mountains. Treeless plain in the arctic or sub- arctic regions with black mucky soil and permanently frozen subsoil. Cone-shaped mountain formed by eruptions from the interior of the earth. Stream or river that flows into a large stream of water.
