Double Standard Double Standard: societal rules that grant greater sexual freedom to men than women

New Job OpportunitiesOpportunities -- Female college graduates = professionals ● Men come home from WWI and go back to the factories -- HS Grads = office workers

The Changing Family Margaret SangerMargaret Sanger: opens 1 st birth control clinic –Women gain more control over their bodies ● Greater equality in their marriages love -- marry for love, not just for money rebel ● Teens rebel against parents -- peer-pressure

Your Assignment You are to first write an acrostic poem about flappers and rewrite it somewhere in the flapper’s head Fill in the rest of her head w/ words, ideas, pictures that represent her and/or the changing role of women Please be COLORFUL, thoughtful, and neat! DUE Monday!!!
