Christmas Gives Humanity Hope
2
Sin Brought Hopelessness to The Soul “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” (Proverbs 13: 12a) The enemy desires that a spirit of hopelessness will be upon humanity (sin, sickness, death, disappointment, disaster, broken relationships, limited future. He blinds the unbeliever and distracts the believer to God’s awesome HOPE.

We Must Know “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the HOPE of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.” (Col. 1: 26-28) Hope was born in Bethlehem!

We Must Believe We don’t believe in order to make it a reality, we believe in the reality, therefore, making it a personal reality to us. “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see…” (Heb. 11:1) Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus…draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith…hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for he who promised is faithful.” (Heb. 10:19…)

We Must Learn To Overcome Our faith and Hope are clearly connected to perseverance, waiting, and enduring. “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance…” (Jam. 1:2) God cannot mature or strengthen the hope that Christ established, it is perfect. But He can strengthen our faith in that perfect hope.
