4. WHY WAIT ? FOR RUNNING ABC? ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE AWOs WAITING FOR RESOURCES/ INFRASTRUCTURE TO RUN ABC!!!!!!

5. Only SIX Steps Its EASY

6. FIRST STEP  Find Available Resources/ Infrastructure with City Municipal Corporation/ County

7.  Most of the MCs/ County’s have Dog Catchers and a Vehicle (Man run Rickshaw or Petrol/ Diesel Vehicle) FIRST STEP

10.  Funds are available for ABC ? ?  If the answer is YES go to FOURTH STEP FIRST STEP

11.  Ask the Government to Save the money received from pet license in the city for the ABC work. SECOND STEP

12.  In most of the countries there is a law that All Pet Owners should have the License to keep the pet. THE ACT

13.  Engage volunteers to visit door to door for issuing licenses.  Setup booths in public areas to make the people aware/ highlight in the media THIRD STEP

14.  Offer low cost Anti Rabies Vaccine and Spay/ Neuter to encourage people to go for license.

16.  Approach the city veterinary college or the city veterinary association  Ask for TWO HOURS early morning time from two to three doctors. FOURTH STEP

17.  Sign an agreement with the Municipal Corporation/ County  Get the dog catchers and the vehicle available with the municipal corporation / County FIFTH STEP

18.  Request the community to provide a place with electricity, water and hygienic surroundings. SIXTH STEP

19. Part Time Veterinary Doctors Morning 6 or 7 am to 8 or 9 am for 6-7 dogs a day

29.  One needs to give only a few hours of time - gradually you start getting support from various funding agencies for everything that needs improvement ABC IS POSSIBLE

30.  Before you take up the program please spend two to four weeks time at any of the Shelter to learn the ABC’s of ABC ABC – A B C  MC dog catchers catch the dogs and helps in assisting the Vets

31.  Provide training to the MC staff in dog catching as well as compounding.  Many organisations will come forward to help you with the training ABC – A B C
