Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting– citizenship training, character development, personal fitness. Weston Pack 75 Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through the year- round family program of Cub Scouting. The program is designed to achieve Ten Purposes: Character Development Spiritual Growth Good Citizenship Personal Achievement Sportsmanship & Fitness Fun & Adventure Family Understanding Friendly Service Respectful Relationships Ready for Boy Scouts Weston Cub Scout Pack 75 is proud to be in the Pomperaug District, Connecticut Yankee Council, North East Region of the Boy Scouts of America. Pack 75 and the WVFD believe in promoting preparedness, safety, responsibility, and unselfish service to one’s community. Membership The core unit of the Cub Scout Pack is the Den, a grouping of six to eight boys. Dens meet weekly (or field trip) with their BSA trained leaders. One of these meetings is the monthly Pack meeting attended by all scouting families to recognize achievements and participate in special activities. Cub Scouting is for the entire family! Parent Participation is a requirement at every level: helping with achievements, attending overnights, volunteering as den leaders or pack officers. It is also a fantastic way to create some of the best memories of your son’s childhood! Overnight on the USS Battleship Massachusetts Cub Scouting is For ALL Boys grade 1-5 Each year’s cub scout program targets boys at their specific developmental stages. It’s never too late to join! (Scout Night: Sept. 15 th 2006) Skits and songs on stage at the Banquet. First Aid training at a weekend campout. Proceeds from the Cake Auction go to local charities.
