 Point Source Pollution is a single identifiable source of pollution, such as a pipe or a drain. Some examples of point source are gas, pipes, septic tanks, and drains.  Non-Point Source Pollution are often termed ‘diffuse’ pollution and refer to those inputs and impacts which occur over a wide area and are not easily attributed to a single source. Some examples are fertilizers, oil, and animal waste.

 First we must inform the people in our watershed about how much water we are using.  Then we could make a plan with our communities to find ways to conserve water.  Then we can pass out papers that tell things we can do during personal water uses like not keeping the water running.

Land types affect water by erosion. Erosion can cause land slide. The land could fall into the river and have trees fall witch could affect the water flow. Also if the land is very slanted the fertilizer could slide down.

We can reduce pollution by not using as much fertilizer. Also by picking up after your pets so the waste does not flow into the river. By using non harmful chemicals and by volunteering to pick up trees that have fallen into the river.

 City Of Birmingham decreed a water report about our water quality.  It show the health of our water.  It tells us how to know if our water is safe.  It tells about their research plants.  Other Cities near us also give reports about their water quality.
