Fashion is something we deal with everyday. Even people, who say they don’t care what they wear, choose clothes every morning that say a lot about them and how they feel that day.
4
People use fashion to present themselves to the public eye. What we wear is an image of what we want the world to see.
5
Fashion exists to provide information about ourselves, who we think we are and who we aspire to be. It defines our age, our sex, our occupation and often, our ethnicity.
6
Ethnic and cultural heritage People may wear ethnic or national dress on special occasions or in certain roles or occupations. For example, most Korean men and women have adopted Western-style dress for daily wear, but still wear traditional hanboks on special occasions, like weddings and cultural holidays.
7
Fashion is a language which tells a story about the person who wears it. Fashion is revealing. Clothes reveal what groups people are in. In high school, groups have names: "goths, skaters, preps, emo." Styles show who you are, but they also create stereotypes and distance between groups.
8
GOTHS The members of this subculture wear the blackest black, with a lot of silver jewellery and have very black hair and look as thin and pale as possible.
9
EMO Being 'emo' is a state of mind. There is a different attitude, fashion, and hairstyle. People who are emo use their hairstyles and fashion to express the way they are feeling.
10
Fashion has evolved over the centuries. In cultures that wear few clothes, body paint is used as a substitute. In some cultures, the powerful decide what everyone wears. They use laws to mark off different segments of society from each other.

Fashion is big business. More people are involved in the buying, selling and production of clothing than any other business in the world. Everyday, millions of workers design, sew, glue, dye, and transport clothing to stores. Clothing can be used as a political weapon. Fashion is big business. Future trends The world of clothing is always changing, as new cultural influences meet technological innovations. Researchers in scientific labs have been developing prototypes for fabrics that can serve functional purposes well beyond their traditional roles, for example, clothes that can automatically adjust their temperature, repel bullets, project images, and generate electricity.

”Clothes do not make the man, but clothes make the man.” To sum up we’d like to say that tastes differ. For some people fashion is a passion. They spend a fortune on clothes. But fashion comes and goes and looking clean and tidy is more important than looking stylish.
