5. Balance -Applying to college is a balancing act between completing daily tasks like filling out applications, requesting transcripts, sending standardized test scores, writing essays, etc., while also thinking about the bigger picture of the 7 P’s and using discernment.

Developing a Final List -Students should begin narrowing down choices, but continue to research -Final list should include 6-8 colleges and may include “reach” schools, but must include “likely” schools -UC and CSU Schools will ALWAYS be Reach Schools -Each school should be a good fit for the student, regardless of selectivity
