Chewing tobacco users are four times more likely than non-users to have decayed dental root surfaces
Chewing tobacco also causes gum disease (gingivitis) Chewing tobacco users are 50 times more likely to get mouth cancer than non-users

Approximately 60-80% of chewing tobacco users have lesions in the mouth
11% of boys and 2% of girls in high school currently use chewing tobacco products
