2 A Combat Support Agency MNIS Overview Unclassified Information Sharing (UIS) Enterprise Service Provide the single enterprise solution for sharing unclassified information with non-traditional partners for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Recovery missions Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS) – Operational/Secret Releasable (REL) Allows US and coalition nations and their forces to securely share operational/intelligence information in Communities of Interest Networks Pegasus/Griffin – Operational/Secret REL Provides the means for disseminating classified information between participating nations (US, UK, CAN, AUS, NZ) from national classified and Command and Control (C2) systems Combined Federated Battle Laboratories Network (CFBLNet)– Multinational Research & Development Environment/Secret REL & Unclassified Evaluates shortfalls in Multination information sharing capabilities by providing continuously available network infrastructure to test the latest technologies for easier transitions into a coalition network environment Internet UIS Services DoD Users Partner Users

4 A Combat Support Agency Griffin/Pegasus Overview Griffin refers to the national email systems of the 5 Eyes (5E) Nations (US, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand) Pegasus/Griffin currently supports US-AUS, US-GBR, US- CAN and 5 Eyes -- email & transport CCEB changed the name of information sharing among the 5E to Pegasus in FY10 Pegasus describes current and future 5E information sharing initiatives among international systems Improved Connectivity Initiative (ICI) is a concept of improving information sharing among the CCEB nations Multiple DISA organizations are providing services under the ICI umbrella – REL DMZ, MNIS PMO, NS, PRNOC, Australia The REL DMZ is the transport used to provide 4-Eyes information sharing through to SIPRNet – no bilateral network 5E capability

6 A Combat Support Agency CFBLNet Overview “The CFBLNet is a mission driven organization formed to: Evaluate combined C4ISR interoperability shortfalls Conduct initiatives –Improve coalition information exchange capabilities –Explore and experiment with emerging capabilities or –Examine resolve deficiencies in existing applications, systems or equipments. –* Note: An initiative is an experiment, test, demonstration or other activity utilizing the CFBL Network infrastructure and services. Access potential solutions through the utilization of agreed upon phased assessment procedures. Report the shortfalls of those assessments. Recommend the means to foster improved combined CIS (communications and information systems) for the explicit purpose of promoting near term concepts and acceptance of solutions.” CFBLNet Pub 1, signed May 09
