9.  The simplest piping schematic uses single lines to show pipes and symbols that represent valves and fittings.  Orthographic diagrams show piping in series of two-dimensional views.  Isometric diagrams show the piping in a single view that include all three (3) dimensions.

10.  A piping schematic usually shows the size of pipe by indicating the nominal size.
