6. “1:1. The oracle that Habakkuk the prophet saw. 2. O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you Violence! And you will not save? 3. Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before them; strife and contention arise. 4. So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous, so justice goes forth perverted.”

8.  The Lord is not surprised by Habakkuk’s comments. The omniscient Lord knows exactly what it going on. Hebrews 4:13, Psalms 139  Our sovereign God has a plan and He is actively involved in making that plan reality  For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back. Isaiah 14:27  My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish my purpose…I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass I have purposed, and I will do it. Isaiah 46:10-11
