Hind Sight 20/20 Attitude is an obstacle! No one anticipated a terrorist attack of this magnitude. Physical security was treated as a separate entity from information security. Don’t be afraid to think out of the box and plan with creativity to address the unimaginable. Include proximity to signature facilities and blast effect of glass as risk factors. Know your Environment - Know the Adversary!! Disaster Recovery Plan was overwhelmed.

Establish a definitive and hardened perimeter Include protection of information in your overall security plan Establish an effective communication plan Ensure the integrity of security and infrastructure emergency systems Prepare and practice an evacuation plan Prepare and exercise a disaster recovery / business continuity plan that includes relocation Awareness and training programs
