Unplug all cables from the back of the computer, including the power cable. Then remove the side panel of the computer case. Place the computer sideways. Then Use an Anti-Static Wrist strap to stay away from danger. Next detach The power and data cables in the back of the DVD Drive. Then push the spring panels in order to take out the DVD Drive.

Make sure that the power cables are un-plugged from the back of the computer and the power outlet. Open the case of the computer. Locate the CD/DVD Drive, most have two connections, one for power and one for data. In some cases you will need to remove the front cover. Slide the CD/DVD Drive into an empty compartment bay. In newer cases, the drive will automatically “click” into place. In older cases, you will need to use screws to hold the drive in place. Connect the DVD Drive to the data cable. It can be identified easily because its flat like a ribbon and has a stripe on one side. Now hook the drive to the power connector. Re-assemble the cover and plug the computer back in. When you run Windows the DVD player should be displayed.
