4.  Chemistry: the study of matter and how it changes  Looks at how matter can be made into new materials  By studying Chemistry, scientists have made new food, clothing, medicines, fragrances, etc  There have been advances in medicine, too, like artificial skin and bones  Physics: the study of energy and how it acts with matter  Physics can explain how lasers work and why helium balloons float, to name a few  Physics has been used to develop TV, cell phones, stereos, computers, satellites, etc.
