Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. Examples of matter: Energy is different than matter It cannot be held or measured with a ruler

Chemistry: the study of matter and how it changes Looks at how matter can be made into new materials By studying Chemistry, scientists have made new food, clothing, medicines, fragrances, etc There have been advances in medicine, too, like artificial skin and bones Physics: the study of energy and how it acts with matter Physics can explain how lasers work and why helium balloons float, to name a few Physics has been used to develop TV, cell phones, stereos, computers, satellites, etc.
