The One, Two Punch Facebook Re-Targeting Advertising Guide

This is the second part of Implementing a Re-Targeting Strategy We are going to discuss 2 specific Ad’s to run that will generate mortgage leads or referral partner opportunity’s We will discuss exactly how to create these ad’s and the timing of running them maximize the result If you have not created a Website Custom Audience yet, that is the ONLY way todays implementation will work See yesterdays class titled “Facebook Re-Targeting new 8/15”

There are 2 main types of ad’s you will be using in Facebook It is important to run them in the right sequence to maximize the effect Based on the statistical fact that 97% of people do nothing the first time they come to our website, our Goal is to get people come back But you must also consider what you are doing to get people there the first time These 2 main ad’s are like a 1 – 2 Punch

Niches will always work best for the first punch It allows you to make a more specific offer to a more specifically interested person Remember the extrathalamic control modulatory system A niche will trigger this system much more easily (facebook makes it easy to run a campaign with an ad for each niche program you offer. Follow these steps for any niche or niches you want to promote. For todays example we will use First Time Homebuyers)

Step 1 – (Monday) Get my “cheese” set up as an on-line document I am going to use Google Drive

Click New and then select your Option (I am uploading a file)

Once you complete your upload, your document preview will be on the bottom right Select the share option in the preview

You can simply copy the sharable link and turn on link sharing Or you can share with individuals as they register (make sure to change the can edit to can view)

Step 2 – (Monday/Tuesday) Get the “landing page” on your website set up This needs to be a page on the website that you placed the Pixel Code for your Website Custom Audience The first punch is a gift (focus on the REAL Goal) No forms, no “what email should I send it to” Just give them the valuable item they came for

If you have a website admin, send him/her this email Dear Mr. Computer Guy, Please ad a page to my website called First Time Homebuyers Guide. On the page itself please put the following content: Hello and welcome to the First Time Homebuyers Guide information center. HERE is your First Time Homebuyers Guide. Buying a home can feel overwhelming. The guide is designed to help answer the initial questions you have and take away some of the confusion of buying a home. To get the answer to all of your questions, and find out about our no obligation pre-approval (very different than a pre-qualification) call me today. 747-221- 6649. Thank you in advance. Step 3 – (Wednesday) Create an Ad on Facebook to get clicks to your website Use the demographics within Facebook to whittle down to the best prospects for your niche Click create ad from one of the 200 places on Facebook

In the ad type section choose to “send people to your website”

The demographics is the important part Think of the people who are best served by your niche

Set your budget This is where you specify what this ad is targeting

The image is what will catch peoples attention Use your own or use the free stock images

Once you choose your image get your text set (sales copy) You have 25 characters for the headline and 90 for the main text

Click the show advanced options button to write a 200 character description for the news feeds

Then place order

This will begin to ad more and more people to your Website Custom Audience That’s where punch 2 comes in Create a 2 nd ad in Facebook that is a “follow up” to your cheese Use ONLY your Website Custom Audience in the demographics

Step 1- (Monday) Create a new ad on Facebook Use the “send people to your website” option Use the application URL from your website as the landing page

In the audience section select your Website Custom Audience
