What is a Positive Working Environment? A positive working environment is one that: Promotes a fun, supportive, and caring environment. Is Open and safe Challenging, a motivating environment in which people are challenged to stretch beyond their comfort zone, grow, and learn.

Beliefs to create a positive work environment Supportive, the leader provides encouragement, guidance, support, and resources to help people succeed. Interactive and engaging The leader fostered teamwork, participation, collaboration, and the sharing of information/ideas The leader respects and values people’s contributions and opinions and makes them feel important

What a positive work environment looks like A positive work environment is one that is supportive and encouraging to its employees, it is all interactive and engaging and is based around the concept of being respected and valued within that company.

The traits of a manager that can create a positive work environment. Personable, the leader enjoys being around people and understands and relates well with them on a personal level Fun and easygoing, the leader has a good sense of humor and makes people feel comfortable and at ease Knowledgeable, the leader is knowledgeable and/or has extensive experience and knowledge in his or her field of expertise Role model and/or mentor, the leader models what excellence and good behavior looks like
