Our Beliefs McNair’s school community is united in the common purpose of educating all students. Together, we will walk this path of education with integrity, trust, respect, and pride. We celebrate our diversity as we grow and learn from each other.

Our Mission Statement The mission of our school community is to educate, inspire, and empower all students. We do this by providing challenging and enjoyable learning experiences. Together, as educators and parents, we believe that all students will attain their goals and discover the joy of becoming lifelong learners.

Implementing the PBIS plan developed by our faculty. Providing our children with hands-on, interactive, and differentiated learning experiences. All students’ academic and social learning. Creating and maintaining a safe learning environment for our students. Being reflective practitioners and providing timely, growth producing feedback to students and each other.

Our History McNair ES opened its doors in September of The principal was Ms. Sue Benezra. Since its opening McNair ES has had 6 principals. McNair ES has also been a Title I School and a Local Level IV site for AAP Services prior to becoming an AAP Center.

The Benefits of the PTA More dollars - PTAs are self-funding, when the entire school community joins it helps to support school programs and educational events Volunteer power - helping to implement school improvement programs Improve communication - With regular meetings the PTA can share school information with members Involved parents understand the challenges schools face and become part of the solution; when parents are involved student achievement improves and the school develops a positive reputation in the community

Fire Drills weekly during the first month of school, then monthly Tornado drills 2 times per year Lockdown drills 2 times per year Crisis Plan training/tabletops every other year

Getting To and From School
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Bell rings at 8:45 a.m. Tardies after 8:45 a.m. Kiss and Ride Bus Loop Dismissal at 3:30 p.m. Early pickup? Not after 3:00 p.m. K students must be met at bus stops

September 16th – Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 6th Begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m. Teachers will have two sessions We will switch at 6:30 p.m.
