OSHA Challenge: assistance in improving safety & health management systems Alliances: coopertive working relationship between company and OSHA to set short- and long-term goals regarding training, education, and communication of safety practices OSHA Strategic Partnership Programs: long-term agreements between OSHA and groups of employers to improve safety for entire industries Voluntary Protection Programs: companies demonstrating excellence with regards to worker health and safety can request this recognition, both management and employees agree to operate an effective safety program; removes company from scheduled inspection list Safety and Health Recognition Programs: once in the VPP, OSHA awards companies with exemplary safety and health programs according to three levels; companies are exempt from inspection with a valid SHARP certification
