Great Lakes Regional Height Modernization Consortium Meeting What is Height Mod Height Modernization Activities undertaken with the intention of making the establishment of elevations easier, cheaper, more accurate, and more consistent. Started as a Joint Effort between NGS and California Demonstrated that technologies and partnerships could successfully be applied to issues involving elevations Current Status: Some 16 states have been funded Another 17 states are interested but have yet to be funded (Including Indiana) The balance have yet to express interest

Great Lakes Regional Height Modernization Consortium Meeting High Mod and Geodetic Infrastructure in Indiana ISPLS got actively involved in geodetic infrastructure in early 1990’s Mid – Late 1990’s First Two Phases of Indiana High Accuracy Reference Network HARN partially funded by county surveyors Early 2000’s ISPLS and IGIC Joined Forces Third Phase of Indiana HARN Mid-2000’s Public Land Section Corner Perpetuation Digital Submission Ordinances Initial Support for InCORS Initial Grant Proposal for Height Mod (2006)
