Mote Network Operational Scenario Motes enclosure includes a transparent window Motes have 4 enclosure-internal and 4 external sensors Motes acquire 8 data values every 5 minutes – Temperature o C: Two external, one internal – Relative humidity RH: Two external, one internal – Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR): One internal – Total Solar Radiation (TSR): One internal Periodically data is recovered to a Gateway Mote – Once every 12 hours – Gateway leads to a computer where data is stored in a database. Motes otherwise hibernate to extend field operation lifetime
