Constanta, May 20073 Spatial Planning in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in general n Main goal: anticipatory and early co-ordination of uses n Based on Federal Spatial Planning Act (Raumordnungsgesetz) and Spatial Planning Act MV (Landesplanungsgesetz) n Guiding principle: sustainable spatial development – social and economic demands need to be consistent with ecological functions

Constanta, May 20074 Marine Spatial Planning in Germany EEZ n Federal Spatial Planning Act was expanded to Germ EEZ in 2004 responsibility of federal government 12-sm-zone Coastal federal states were asked by the conference of ministers responsible for spatial planning to extend their scope of spatial plans to the 12-sm-zone responsibility of federal states Accordant legal regulation in the Spatial Planning Act of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern
