Plano ISD 2015 United Way Campaign Plano ISD does not directly or indirectly require or coerce employees to: 1)make or not make a contribution to a charitable organization or in response to a fund-raiser; or 2) attend or not attend a meeting called for the purpose of soliciting charitable contributions.

2 Our Mission Kids learning outside the classroom for STEM in the Schoolyard with Texas Instruments, EY & Accenture We’re on a mission to change lives forever in North Texas. Since 1924, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas has invested in the most effective local programs that work to create opportunities and change lives forever. We unite donors and volunteers with organizations who are focused on producing real results in the areas of: education, financial stability, and health.

Unite for Education 4 Education is the first step across the opportunity divide. Ready, set, learn! Giving kids the skills to succeed in school sets them up for lifelong success and lays a foundation that will span generations to come. Education is change that lasts!

Unite for Income 5 Poverty isn’t permanent. Too many children and their hardworking parents know too well what it’s like to live without. Without food, a home, a job that offers advancement opportunities, without the knowledge that college is an option. Without opportunity.

6 Unite for Health Better Health Leads to Better Lives. Good health influences everything from how well a child is able to learn in the classroom to how much an adult is able to earn in the workplace. Its effects truly last a lifetime.

Role of the Coordinator 1.Unite as a Leader: Educate employees 2.Unite as a Advocate: Share the United Way message and distribute campaign materials 3.Unite as an Champion: Generate excitement and enthusiasm for the campaign and say THANK YOU!

Role of the Coordinator 1. Unite as a Leader: Educate employees Through group presentations: -Consider existing staff meetings or special meetings to introduce the United Way campaign -Use hardcopy campaign material and videos to share the United Way message

Role of the Coordinator 2. Unite as an Advocate: Share the United Way message and Distribute Campaign Materials –Energize, Inspire, and Engage! –Have paper pledge forms and campaign information available at your United Way meeting –Thank individuals for their time and consideration

Role of the Coordinator 3. Unite as a Champion: Generate Enthusiasm and say THANK YOU! –Hang goal poster with total amount raised –Offer information and answer questions to fellow employees –Say THANK YOU!!!
