4 QIC Liaisons Each SAC and all subcommittees have been assigned a member of the QIC to serve as a liaison. This liaison will be the point of contact to provide guidance on the standard development process or other quality related issues. This will also ensure consistent communication with the SACs.

6 2 Task Groups Developed to tackle needs identified by the SACs, Subcommittees, Resource Committees, and the FSSB

7 Catalog Maintenance – Chair – Karen Reczek
Update and maintain a catalog of standards, including those identified by the SACs, and develop a process to address new standards, overlapping standards, and standards not addressed by the SAC. Pending - Dependent on responses from the subcommittees.

8 Guidance and FAQ Task Group – Chair, Arlene Hall
Organize questions into a spreadsheet, maintain responses, and develop a list of questions from the subcommittees and SACs to distribute as a guidance document. Completed – Waiting approval from FSSB for OSAC distribution

9 Impact Assessment – Chair, Tim Kupferschmid
Develop a checklist with factors that could potentially impact a laboratory and determine criteria for developing an impact statement for a standard. Completed – Checklist has been developed; however, no standards have been vetted.

10 Medical Examiner Accreditation – Chair, Sally Aiken
Compare accreditation checklists for NAME, IAC&ME and determine the suitability of applying laboratory accreditation standards. Completed – shared with death investigation subcommittee and FSSB

11 Terminology - Chair, Matthew Gamette
Develop a universal definition list by compiling existing terms in standards, such as ISO/IEC and ISO Pending – draft document is circulating within the QIC.

12 Standards Processes and Procedures – Chair, Barbara Andree
Provide checklists and procedures for the Registry approval process and for standards development. Pending – 4 checklists have been developed that are pending FSSB approval.
