10 Admissions Eighth grade students residing in the Cobb County School District are eligible to apply for freshman admission into any magnet program Applicants will be evaluated on demonstrated strengths in the following areas:  Middle school grades  Teacher recommendations  Standardized test scores  Written communication skills  Admissions exam or audition scores (based on program)

11 What to do right now Make strong grades Do your best on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) – Counts as a minimum of 25% of your admissions score Begin to look at the Magnet websites Talk to your parents about this possibility Talk to your counselors and teachers about this possibility
