3 Strategic goals for CFS 2008-2014 Increase the quality of the entering students Increase entering freshman SAT scores from 1074 to at least 1150 Increase the diversity to match at least State norms Grow the holistic evaluation of applicants Improve retention and graduation rates Double study abroad, honors graduates and service learning activities Reduce upper division class size from 55 to 45 by adding capstone courses Double scholarship support for Access and Success and Dean’s honor students from $250,000 to $500,000 per year Increase the six year graduation rate from 64% to 70% Increase the first year retention rate from 84% to 90%

4 Strategic goals for CFS 2008-2014 Increase number and quality of faculty Increase named and distinguished professors from 4 to 8 Increase faculty to 80 FTE to improve student/faculty ratio Grow new interdisciplinary partnerships in Health and Human Sciences Remodel and build facilities to support translational human research Grow our global reach in discovery with delivery Expand multi-investigator research programs
