13. The Houses. Mash Starostina: In the North people build houses on the poles. That’s why the “ground” floor is usually cold. In summer when the permafrost melts big pools cover the land. The houses are expensive as everything we build the houses from is brought from the “land”. 14. Food Artyom Zakharov: Artyom Zakharov: If you live in the North, doctors recommend to eat the food which grows here. We adore fish which is caught in the Ob, mushrooms, berries of the tundra, and especially meet of the deer. It is considered to be very good as deer eat only moss.
