2 And thank you for your interest in becoming an Aggie Student Athletic Trainer! The following information should help you with your application process to both The University as well as to our program: You must apply and be accepted into Texas A&M as a full-time student or be a part of the Blinn Team option. It’s recommended you apply for early admission. Contact the Admissions Office at 979.845.1004 to request an application and to find out the deadline. We HIGHLY recommend that you contact the Admissions office before you send in your application so that you can set up a date to meet with a representative in your area to help you fill out your TAMU application. Many students are not considered because they do not fill out their TAMU application properly!!!!! 7 Helpful Hints! (pay attention!!! These hints could be the difference between you or someone else getting into The University) When writing your resume, ELABORATE! Remember, you’re trying to sell yourself and get the edge over someone else. List each experience and the date. For example, if you worked high school football for 4 years---don’t write that! Write that you worked 2 years of JV football and 2 years Varsity football or whatever the case may have been with you. When writing your resume, ELABORATE! 9 Helpful Hints, continued… Your letters of recommendation should be from 3 different “types” of people. Try and get a letter from a former employer, a school administrator, a staff athletic trainer, or possibly someone from your church. Be sure to ask if these people will be able to write a positive letter of recommendation and if they would be specific as to why they would recommend you.
