Presentation Objectives This presentation will:-  provide you with some background information about Revell Research Systems;  give you a clear understanding of what our core competencies are;  explain how you can access our knowledge and expertise;  suggest ideas about how we can be useful to you, either now or at some point in the future;  ensure you know how to get in touch.

About Us: Background  We are a Management and Technology Consulting Practice.  We combine core competencies in both management and technology, which makes us stand out from our competitors.  We are based in Exeter, which is the Regional Capital of the South West of England.  We work throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.  We can deliver our services electronically world-wide.  We’ve been in business for 21 years.  All our client assignments are supervised by a chartered professional.

About Us: Alastair Revell  Alastair Revell established the practice in 1985. He graduated from the University of Birmingham with an honours degree in Mathematics in 1988.  He has practised as a consultant and trainer since 1985 and is a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and a Fellow of the Institution of Analysts and Programmers (FIAP).  He volunteered his time extensively to The Prince’s Trust for much of the 1990s and worked in a senior capacity as the Chairman of East Devon and as the Devon Vice-Chairman.  Alastair Revell also occasionally lectures in Higher Education and has co-written two programmes that lead to awards from the University of Plymouth.

About Us: Values Our business is built around five important values:-  Honesty  Integrity  Impartiality  Objectivity  Independence We are impartial and independent. We only provide advice and do not sell any products, except those produced by us for our clients.

Our Disciplines Our expertise is built around FOUR distinct disciplines:-  Strategy Development Ensuring alignment between corporate & competitive strategies and information resources  Systems Engineering Specifying, procuring, configuring and maintaining servers and workstations  Network Engineering Designing, building and securing network infrastructures  Software Development Building traditional Windows-based applications and developing interactive web sites, using predominantly Microsoft technology such as SQL Server, Access, Transact-SQL, IIS and.NET

Our Services  Consulting We can advise on any aspect of our four core disciplines of strategy development, systems engineering, networking and software development.  Training We train our clients to become skilled in the areas we are specialists in.  Support We assist our clients in using the competencies we specialise in.  Implementation We execute projects in our specialist fields for our clients, whether they are stand-alone or ongoing. Clients access our expertise through their own tailored mix of FOUR services:-

Typical Clients  We focus on delivering our strategy development, systems engineering and networking expertise to professional service firms, who tend to have up to 1,000 staff.  We more or less provide the facilities of an IT directorate to our smaller clients while providing a source of thought- leadership, strategy advice, deep knowledge and trouble- shooting skills to larger clients.  We build software (traditional applications and interactive web sites) for a much more diverse range of clients, including large PLCs, some of which are household names.  Most clients engage us because they value quality service and recognise a kindred spirit in the way we do business.

What are you trying to achieve? Can we help?  We don’t expect our clients to have “set problems”.  We don’t have “set solutions”.  We have very deep expertise in four complimentary areas of management and technology.  We have considerable skill in delivering these across the complete intervention spectrum from consulting to implementation.  We blend our expertise and delivery skills to suit your particular situation.

What Next?  We are not the sort of business you rush to engage at the end of a presentation!  You probably won’t know what you need from us until you have a problem to resolve or an opportunity to exploit… then you’ll need us quickly!  We hope that you will call when you need us…  If you think it would be beneficial to you for us to keep in touch, please let us know.
