1 Task Card Templates Choose one slide below each week to create a task card for a Tech Tub station. Make sure to fill in the “Notes” below the task card with your information. Follow the directions below to complete this station activity. This task uses: Common Core State Standards Texts of the Founding Fathers Objective : Common Core ELA LA.6-8.CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RH.6-8.1 - [Grade Level Standard] - Cite specific textual evidence to support analysis of primary and secondary sources. SOC.7.7.1.5 - [Expectation] - Analyze primary and secondary sources to answer questions related to United States history Social Studies: ELA CCSS.ELA-Literacy. RH.6.8.1 1.Tap Founding Fathers button on your ipad 2.Tap on “I” in the bottom right corner to choose a founding father 3.Tap the name of the Founding Father to get a quote for today from that person 4.Use a story board and write the quote, document source, and dates from each of the four Founding Fathers. Read the short bio from your text to summarize the events surrounding the document’s creation 5.Save your story board to later create a Toontastic activity. Texts From Founding Fathers

SOC.7.7.1.5 - [Expectation] - Analyze primary and secondary sources to answer questions related to United States history Social Studies: Toontastic Animated Storyboard : LA.6-8.CCSS.ELA- Literacy.RH.6-8.1 - [Grade Level Standard] - Cite specific textual evidence to support analysis of primary and secondary sources. 1.Log in to Toontastic 2.On the Story Arc tap setting to choose a background to Fit your story. Once you have done that tap the forward blue arrow at the top right of the screen 3.On this screen scroll through the characters at the bottom. Drag a character to fit your story onto the setting pane 4.On the same screen, drag objects which might be good props. 5.Once you have the character and objects on the screen tap the animation button to start planning the movement of your characters Use your fingers to manipulate the characters as needed. Be sure to speak loudly while you animate so the microphone can catch your voice. You can also delete and edit on this screen When you are done tap the stop animation button so your animation will play back automatically 6.When you are done you will be returned to the story arc where you can complete your cartoon or begin a new scene 7.When you are satisfied with your cartoon tap the done button to bring up the film slate. Type a title and your name. 8You may choose to share your cartoon and have it uploaded to your teacher’s account for approval. You will be using 2 apps to complete this assignment. Texts of the Founding Fathers and Toontastic. You will need your social studies textbook Texts of The Founding Fathers and the internet to get background information. You will need to create a written storyboard using the information you found in preparation for your Toontastic activity You will publish your completed assignment for a classroom presentation grade.
